Hi cdpetrillo,

 

I understand you're having issues getting your Officejet J4680 connected to an old router. I'm sorry to hear you've been having difficulties, but I will certainly do my best to help.

 

It sounds like the printer may just be getting confused, so we will clear the wireless settings from the printer and then try to reconnect it to the network. To Restore the Network Defaults on the printer please follow the below steps (taken from your printer's user guide):

Press Setup. Press an arrow button to move to Network, and then press OK.
Press an arrow button to move to Restore Network Defaults, and then press OK

 

Once these settings are restored to their default state, please try running the Wireless Setup Wizard again and it should be able to recognize the password.
