If you're saying you are paying extra for the 5Ghz band, this is incorrect. The bands are a function of the router, not your ISP speed. In order to see and use the 5Ghz band, you must have a 802.11 a/b/g/n adapter, not just a 802.11 b/g/n. This is why you can not see the 5Ghz band.
