Hi RussCoulter52,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

The network that the printer is broadcasting (Printer Name) is a wireless direct connect. (ie. ad hoc, or peer to peer network). Meaning you have to be with in range of the printer to be able to see the network, plus as well with this network IF someone else joined to it, they would only be able to print to your printer.

Now to turn this option off, or add security to the printer network, please follow the steps below.

1. Press the Wrench Icon
2. Press the Right Arrow button, until you see Network Setup Menu
3. Press OK
4. Press the Right Arrow button, until you see Wireless Direct
5. Press OK

Now you should see the options for turning off Wireless Direct, as well adding security.

Please let me know if these steps work for you. :)
