C7280 will scan to computer but will NOT print
I recently completely reinstalled the software for my C7280 printer using Windows 8 and have run every diagnostic I can find but everything says it is working. Unfortunately, everything I have tried to print does not. I have successfully scanned a pciture to my computer several times. But printing even a test page will not work. The printer queue also shows what looks like it printed successsfully as nothing stays caught in the queue. I have had years of connectivity issues with this printer but now what am I doing wrong?

Where are the explanations for the error codes in Envy 120 EWS Event Log
I have been having trouble with the printer, and following diagnostic recommendations from a separate thread, have looked at the event log.
I see a series of events, mostly 74899 Printer Event and 74741 Network Information.
What I DO NOT SEE is any explanation of these events, and whether they are normal or indications of trouble.
I have also searched online for the Secret Message Decoder but nothing was found with Bing or Google.
Seriously, what value are the codes without a way to interpret them?
I beginning to regret my long-term loyalty to HP products.

Ah ha!
OK, after 3 months and 3 HP replacement printers sent to me while trying to solve the HP "can't wake up from sleep" for wireless printing, I believe it may be solved for me...seemingly permanently. The answer was...establishing the correct connection between the printer and the router (in my case a Verizon MiFi). When printing with a USB cable wake-up from sleep was never a problem. Amazingly simple, huh!
Enter the MiFi password (from a MiFi screen) into the the printer's wireless on-screen set-up sequence. Natually the printer goes to sleep after (5) minutes of non-use and believe-it-or-not, it now wakes up for printing without having to unplug the printer's power plug anymore. Ironically unplugging the printer to wake it up may cause the printer to lose the router's password.
Several almost English speaking tech people from Inidia missed this wireless problem and when noting the failing to wake up problem and being stumped , probably simply followed their printed instructions to authourize sending another printer to me. For a relatively known problem it is baffling they all missed this. I went through two 4500s, a 4630 before finding that the above cure was all that was needed for the 6700 they sent the last time. Only a HP Cloud Services tech found the problem. Undoubtedly all these models really were OK (all suffering the very same provlem). They just were not hand-shaking with my MiFi. Possibly more of a problem when using a MiFi because it has no adjustable parameters nor a USB port.

Hello, if you could please respond with how this ends up that would be great. I am experiencing the same issue. All PC's on Windows 7 pro. Some hard wired and some wireless. The printer is on a wireless connection, but I plan to switch it to a wired connection to see if that makes any difference. I will let you know my findings.

So I'll assume the printer is connected to your new network successfully.
Is your iPad also connected to the same network? You may want to restart the router (pull its power plug momentarily) and the iPad (hold the sleep/power button on the top for 5 seconds, let it shut down then turn it on the same way).

HP 3511 all in one won't connect to my wireless modem
I just switched providers and now can not get my printer to connect to my modem. I have tried the WPS button but it is not finding the modem I guess. I do know that my modem has two different addresses (its the new one from Grande) the tech support said to try to find one but this printer does not give me that option. PLEASE HELP I HAVE TO PRINT STUFF TONIGHT.

I am curious to know if your solution was the same as mine. For me, the problem went away if I configured my router and printer to use WEP wireless security or no wireless security at all. The problem occured if I configured my router and printer to use WPA security. Are you saying that your solution was to establish a wireless connection from your printer to your router? and if so, what wireless security setting did you use?

Do not use WPS. It should be disabled in the router for security issues. Please explain your full network setup including all make and model numbers and how everything is connected.

Need more info. Make and model of router? Blinking blue light means the printer is not connected to your routers SSID. You need to reconnect the printer to your SSID. Has anything changed????

Connecting hp Officejet Pro 8600 wirelessly to Dell XPS 420
Just bought a new hp Officejet Pro 8600, and have not been able to connect it wirelessly to my Dell XPS 420 desktop. It works perfectly with my MAC, but will not work with my Dell.
Would appreciate any ideas you could offer.
