Remember when you print a photo you have to tell the software BOTH what paper size and what print size you want.
Re: Printing Photo's on my HP Photosmart 5520
Re: Photosmart c4780 will not connect wirelessly since upgrading to Mavericks
Restart your router by pulling its power cord momentarily. Restart the printer.
If that does not work, are you absolutely CERTAIN that the printer is connected to your network?
Re: 1102w won't always wake up to print.
OK, I made the changes as specified. Now we're in a wait and see mode. My guess is that setting the printer to not power off automatically is the key.
If everything works in a week I'll say it's resolved. meanwhile thanks for the tip on uPnP.

Re: HP Envy 120 not connecting to imac
Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
Restart your Mac.
Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
Re: HP Photosmart 7520 unable to connect to Web Services
That's what I did and Web Services were restored after I went through the setup process.
I hope this works for you, but like I said, when I got the error, I did this and it worked.
Re: HP C4780 Unable to see WIFI
Simple things first. Power off printer and router. Power on router wait 3 mins. Power on printer and verify it can connect to your SSID with password. Is the wireless light on the printer on, off or blinking? Does the printer get an IP address from the router?
Re: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus Not Recognized On The Network
You are running a double NAT scenario, not good. Simple fix, put the gateway unit (modem/router) in bridge mode, which will disable the router functions and just make it a modem. Now connect the Netgear router to the gateway unit and have this handle all your wired and wireless connections.
Re: HP C4780 Unable to see WIFI
Yes, I have tried to power off everything, waited close to 10 minutes. I have WEP in the printer and on my router. I have tried that. I have made sure that the wireless is enabled on the printer. After about 3 minutes of trying to connect, the printer throws up with the blue light blinking saying unable to connect.
Re: HP C4780 Unable to see WIFI
Disable all security on the router temporarily. Now try to connect to your unsecured SSID. Are you successful? If yes, go back and add WPA2-AES security with a new password and try again.
HP Envy 120 goes offline for no known reason, WiFi connection appears good
HP Envy 120 installed on WiFi network with Linksys EA-6500 router / WPA-PSK, working fine for several months.
Now, I can print a few pages, but then the I get a "printer offline" message even though it is still connected.
I verified IP address (fixed) and verified that I have the latest drivers via HP Update on the PC and automatic updates directly on the printer.
When this problem happens, I have found that by turning WiFi off, then on again, printing resumes for a while.
I have verified that the auto-off setting is OFF.
Athe configuration tests come up clean. Signal strength is 5 and I have no reason to suspect that is an issue. I am not sure this is relevant, but the "disconnect count" shows 5 in the past 24 hours, with 612 total.
Sofware environment is Windows 8.1 Pro on a Dell XPS-8500, but no reason to suspect this setup as the previous Envy 112 worked flawlessly before it was moved elsewhere.
Why won't my laptop find my wireless printer?
My laptop has been able to recognize my wireless printer for over a year now, but it suddenly has begun to not print anything that my laptop requests. The printer is under the choices of devices to choose to print, but when selected, it does nothing. It will even pop up on the bottom of the screen with a printing in process message, but it just won't work. My printer is also not located under the devices selection on my laptop. I know it's not the printer because I can select to print a page on my iPad and it will work flawlessly. So the printer is online and working fine with all my other devices, but my laptop. I use the laptop for school and my mother uses it to print off stuff for our everyday life. She uses the laptop more than me lately, so she could have accidently clicked something she shouldn't have but I doubt it. I also dont have any disk to reinstall any software for the printer and I would like to aviod paying for a new printer or anything for that matter. Money is tight nowadays. SO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give any advice you could to help me out here.
Re: Why won't my laptop find my wireless printer?
Hi ilovelolo,
Welcome to the forums, I'll do my best to help you figure this out :)
Please try as many steps as you can in the "Your printer was working over the network before, and now isn’t." section of the link below.
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/troubleshooting.html
Also, which printer do you have, and is that laptop a Windows (Vista, 7 or 8 etc) or Mac (10.8 or 10.9 etc)?
Officejet 7110 series wide format does not accept static IP address settings on wired IP4 network
Install printer successfully on wired network and printer is assigned dynamic IP. Then attempt to change the dynamic to static IP using EWS in windows internet explorer v11 and windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit.
On network tab I chouse manual> click suggest IP settings feilds are populated and I enter manual public DNS ip address. Everytime I click apply but all I get is "invalid Input"
So frustrating a 5sec job ends up being 5day job.........
Is this a browser compatibility issue? Anybody know?
My router I had for years its older netgear DG834G and the IP address that is suggested is valid
OK nevermind......Answered my own question.....Thanks HP......Just set your default browser to anything but IE. You know really how hard can it be to inform users who purchase these printers NOT to use internet explorer vXX as your default browser to SETUP your HP printer......This should be explicit 90% of home users will have IE as their default browser.....Yes I know you get a compatibility dialog appear about your browser but it should not install to an incompatiible brower PERIOD.......force the user to use another......
But it does.........
Thanks
Re: WPA2-PSK (AES) security setup for Wireless configuration
However since your printer has an Ethernet connection, here is a solution.
Connect wireless printer anywhere, convert from wired, bypass failed radio, add WPA2 security.
Printer connection error
In my control panel, the printer all of sudden shows up double!
One of the two seems to be fine, and the other one gives the status: "Not Connected".
Funny thing is, if you try to select the one that looks normal (and connected) as default printer, the other one gets the green checkmark. Then when you try and print you get the error message that the computer is offline.
On the display screen from the printer itself it says that it's successfully connected wireless.
I can't fix the problem... help!
Re: Laserjet CP1525nw color
The new laptops I purchased came with tech support, including software help.
Yesterday, the Geek Squad tech spent three hours trying to get my wireless printer to work.
NOTHING worked. I even showed him the instructions left here.
Even a tech with permission to access my pc himself, worked on this for three hours and could not
get the wireless card in the printer to work.
He ended up just leaving it wired with an ethernet cable from the printer to the router.
That is just ridiculous! Even a tech couldn't get that wireless card in the printer to work.
That's an HP problem.
Very upset that I started posting here in January and on the last day of March, I finally can use the printer again.
I figured if the tech could get it to work, then great...if not, I already purchased a new printer (not an HP).
I was willing to concede this battle and realize I wasted money on this printer.
I will NEVER buy another HP product.
I just purchased 3 new laptops and a new Laserjet.
You lost me as a customer.
Probably doesn't mean anything to you anyways because you OBVIOUSLY do not care about CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I chose Samsung because they have live chat, and phone support for their products which is US based.
Brother offers liftetime technical assistance with their printers.
HP needs to step up to the plate here and be supportive of their products.
The name of the game shouldn't be "got your money, see ya" and your stuck with a non working product.
A simple change of routers made my printer stop working.
HP should have offered assistance to get that printer working again.
I seen when doing a Google search that many other customers with the same model I have, had this same exact problem.
Some people said they even paid for HP tech support to help them and even they couldn't get the issue resolved.
No wonder no support was offered.
That is not the way to do business.
We own a corporation and do not treat our customers this way.
You lost my business HP.
Never again. First time, shame on you. Second time, shame on me!
Lesson learned.
Re: HP Deskjet 3520 all in one acts like it is going to print when nothing is going on.
I have microsoft office installed on my machine. The printer works great. It will scan, print and copy. It just make a noise about every 20 or 30 seconds like it is going to print something, but doesn't.
6600 printer
How do I set up a password that my printer will recognize from my Samsung S4 smart phone to print?
Re: why doesn't my hp2540 printer see the wireless network, it did work at one time
My wireless HP2540 suddenly stopped printing. I get the screen message "printer is in an error state". What the heck is that?
